We are excited to announce the launch of our new Internal Communications and Engagement Initiative! This program is designed to strengthen communication, foster engagement, and encourage learning across all departments in a fun and interactive way.
The initiative will feature bi-weekly quizzes on topics ranging from Health & Safety, HR policies, and Operations to general company knowledge and other important focus areas. These quizzes aim to address common challenges, clarify policies, and boost our collective understanding of key topics that impact us all.
Here’s how it works:
- Fun and Competitive Quizzes: Every two weeks, you will have the opportunity to participate in a short, 10-question quiz. Each quiz will be designed to be engaging, educational, and a little competitive, with leaderboards displayed to highlight top performers.
- Earn Rewards: Your participation counts! Every correct answer earns you credits that can be redeemed for merchandise in our online store. The more you engage, the more you can win!
- Track Your Progress: You can track both your individual progress and the performance of your team. This is a great opportunity to stay connected with your colleagues and to see where you stand in the company-wide leaderboard.
- Stay Informed: Kevin (intranet) and the TVs located in common areas (TVs coming soon!) will not only display quiz leaderboards but will also showcase important learning topics, company updates, and new staff introductions. Be sure to check them regularly to stay informed about the latest developments and announcements.
- Build Knowledge and Skills: These quizzes are designed to help everyone stay up to date on essential topics, learn new information, and reinforce important processes like timesheet entries, safety protocols, and company policies. The goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
Participation is Easy:
- You’ll be able to access the quiz via Kevin or by checking the TVs in common areas (TVs coming soon!) for links and leaderboards.
- Each quiz takes only 5 minutes, and you can complete it at your convenience on your personal time.
- The quizzes are accessible from any phone, tablet, or computer with an internet connection, making it easy to participate no matter where you are.
- Participation is completely voluntary but highly encouraged, as it ties into personal development and could impact future incentive programs.
We believe this initiative will not only make learning and engagement fun but also contribute to our company culture by breaking down silos and connecting our team, no matter where you’re located.

- Individual Participation Only
- Each participant must complete the quiz individually.
- No group work or collaboration is allowed during quiz participation. Cheating or sharing answers is strictly prohibited.
- Honour System/No Cheating
- Any form of cheating, including sharing answers or working together, is not permitted. Participants found cheating may be disqualified from the quiz and forfeit any accumulated rewards.
- Time Commitment
- The quiz is designed to take approximately 5 minutes.
- Quiz participation is to be completed on personal time and is not eligible for timesheet inclusion.
- Do not log quiz time on Clockify or Deltek.
- Merchandise Store Credits
- Participants will accumulate credits for their merchandise store account based on quiz participation.
- 1 correct answer = $1 toward merchandise store.
- Credits are not transferrable to cash and must be redeemed in the merchandise store.
- Upon exiting the company (e.g., resignation or termination), any unused credits are forfeited and will not be paid out.
- Exit Policy for Rewards
- Employees who exit the company (voluntarily or involuntarily) forfeit all accumulated rewards and credits.
- Credits cannot be transferred to other employees or redeemed for cash upon exiting the organization.
- Personal Development Tracking
- Participation in quizzes may be tracked as part of your personal development and performance reviews.
- High engagement and successful quiz performance may be factored into other incentive programs, such as bonuses or personal development goals.
- Eligibility
- Full-time, contract, and term employees are eligible to participate.
- Compliance with Company Policies
- Participants must follow all company policies related to time management, training, and professional conduct while engaging in quizzes.
- Failure to comply may result in disqualification from the quiz and potential disciplinary action.
- Changes to Rules
- The company reserves the right to update or modify these rules as necessary. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
- Quiz Schedule:
- New quizzes will be posted bi-weekly on Wednesdays, starting January 8, 2025.
- Each quiz will remain available for just under two weeks, allowing flexibility in participation.
- Quizzes close at 11:59 PM CST on the Monday before the Tuesday tally day.
- Quizzes completed after the closing time will not be eligible to earn prizes.
- Leaderboard Updates:
- Leaderboards are updated weekly, reflecting the points earned by each participant.
- At the same time, Kevin and the TVs in common areas are updated with new content, including leaderboard results and announcements (the quiz link remains posted for the full two-week period).
- Credits to the Merch Store:
- Credits are issued weekly to each participant’s merch store account, based on quiz performance.
- For each correct answer, participants will earn $1 towards their merch store account.
- Scoring Details:
- Credits are awarded on a correct/incorrect answer basis:
- Correct Answer = $1 credit towards the merch store.
- Leaderboards reflect total points earned, which may differ from the correct/incorrect score since Kahoot’s system also factors in the timing of responses. Faster answers may earn more points in the leaderboard ranking.
- Departmental Participation Rankings:
- Leaderboards may also include departmental participation rankings or other metrics, as determined by the team, to encourage healthy competition across teams.
- Bonus Quizzes:
Occasionally, there may be bonus quizzes featuring hot topics or important themes. These quizzes may offer additional points and credits to participants.
- Score Tallying:
Every Tuesday, following the closure of the two-week quiz period, scores are tallied, and the leaderboards are updated.
- Additional Challenges:
In addition to the quizzes, there may be other opportunities to earn points through task-based challenges or activities. These will be announced periodically.
- Top Performers Recognition:
- At the end of each quarter, the top performers on the leaderboard will be recognized and awarded special prizes. These prizes are designed to reward consistent participation and high performance over the quarter.
- Prize Tiers:
- Quarterly prizes will be awarded based on the final leaderboard rankings, with tiers such as:
- 1st Place: 250 credits
- 2nd Place: 100 credits
- 3rd Place: 50 credits
- Quarterly prizes will be awarded based on the final leaderboard rankings, with tiers such as:
- Departmental Prizes:
- In addition to individual rewards, departmental prizes may be given to the teams with the highest participation or top-ranked performance. This will encourage healthy competition between teams and divisions.
- Bonus Prize Opportunities:
- Participants will also have the chance to win bonus prizes during special quizzes or challenges introduced throughout the quarter.
- Prize Eligibility:
- To be eligible for quarterly prizes, participants must have completed all quizzes within the quarter. Leaderboard rankings will reflect both individual performance and departmental contributions.
